I’m a rarity: a native Houstonian. I grew up in the West University neighborhood in the 1950’s. Back then, Post Oak (now the Galleria) was considered the edge of town. I used to chase rabbits in open fields where Greenway Plaza now stands. My Aunt Shirley raised chickens and goats where Sharpstown Center is today. I’ve seen many changes in my city, and I’ve now raised another generation of my own family here: My wife is my high school sweetheart, and we've been married over 30 years and raised twin sons who still call Houston "home." My goal is not just to help you find a home. I want you and your family to enjoy the same kind of great life I’ve known here. I’m well aware that Houston has more than its share of real estate agents who say they “know Houston” – and have a map to prove it. But this city is much more than a conglomeration of streets and zip codes. My hometown may be a big city now, but many small town aspects linger here, and I can help you discover them.
You probably already have in mind the kind of home that’s right for you. Or maybe you have your heart set on a certain neighborhood and want to see what kinds of homes are available there. Fitting a family, a home and a neighborhood together is what my job is all about. A great house is one thing, but it’s the things you see, feel and do beyond your front door that really make a family feel at home. I know that choosing a home is a very personal experience, and I strive to understand your concerns, tastes and desires; I also know the value in details. What you’re looking for isn’t just a home – it’s a way of life.
And one last thought. I have had deeply instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, commitment, and perseverance. It comes from my parents’ nurturing, playing Little League ball in West U, and being a Boy Scout in Troop 510, where I pledged “to do my best.” And that’s what I promise to do for you.
